Woodland is a non-denominational, Bible believing, Jesus Centered church in Payson, AZ.
One of the unique things about us is we only have services on Sunday evenings. We have found that this allows for more intentionality about church attendance and involvement. We love the idea of ending the weekend and starting the week worshiping at Woodland.
Programs for kids during 4:30 service.
Lead people to a relationship with Jesus Christ that brings personal transformation and community impact.
Life through Jesus
For us, following Jesus is the best way and the only way to live life. Jesus is the exact representation of who God is and the perfect model for how God wants us to live. He is the only one worthy of giving our lives to and proved that worth through giving his own life for us.
Growth through Faith
Every healthy relationship is built on trust. The greater the trust is the stronger the relationship is. A growing relationship with Jesus Christ is based on faith. We grow spiritually as we gain more confidence in who God is, what He says, and what He does. That confidence and spiritual growth happens as we trust him with our hearts and lives.
Worship through Surrender
True worship happens when we completely give ourselves to God. Offering our lives to God daily is what worship is all about. Singing and learning together during our worship services is an acknowledgment of who God is and what He has done. It is a corporate act of surrender not out of fear and duty, but out of love.
Leadership through Integrity
Churches should be the best run organizations on the planet with the best leaders who make character and integrity a priority. The call to leadership in the local church is one of great responsibility because the health of the church starts with the leadership. As the leadership structure of our church develops it will always seek to lead like Jesus.
Jon and Amanda are both from Glendale, AZ on the west side of greater Phoenix valley. Jon has been a pastor in the local church for over 20 years, and Amanda has been in the education field for over 20 years as well. Both attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. Go Lopes! Family is a big deal and their first priority is making sure they are doing all they can to help their family be awesome. That means lots of family fun with their three kids, Connor, Anderson, and Kyndall. They are often outside hiking and trying to soak in all the amazing nature around the Payson area. Being invested in the community and helping to make it better is also important to the Hatch family. They try to stay constantly involved in many community activities from playing and coaching sports to volunteering and participating in local organizations.
